Indifference Interval

Wikis > Glossary > Indifference Interval

The span of time for which people’s judgment of a duration is least biased in one direction or another. Durations shorter than the indifference interval tend to be overestimated, while longer durations tend to be underestimated. Paul Fraisse recorded the indifference interval as 600 ms (Clarke 1999, p. 475).
